Welcome to the official – and first! – web site of the PBSC Women’s Ministry annual Retreat. We are excited about opening up this line of communication for our members and friends, and about the possibilities the website can provide.

This year’s theme, “Renewed!” has a three-fold purpose: to experience a renewed connection with God; to further renew our body, mind and spirit, and to renew fellowship with our sisters in Christ across the commonwealth. The retreat agenda is designed to address each of those objectives in some way: through the worship experience, the workshops, the time spent with God, or time spent breaking bread together. I encourage you to become fully engaged in the retreat, so that you can indeed depart on that Saturday afternoon feeling “renewed.”

Along with the tried and true, we have something new to look forward to this year. For 2009, the retreat committee is encouraging the “regulars” to become a “Titus 2 Woman”: bring along a daughter, niece, friend, grandchild, colleague – whoever! – under the age of 35, to join us. This would be an opportunity to share some time with someone special to you, and allow us the opportunity to interact with younger women. And of course, you should feel free to invite as many women, of whatever age, as you’d like.

For those of you who are night owls, there will be a pajama party. I’m not quite sure what we’ll be doing, but bring your favorite PJs or loungewear, and see what the committee is planning. Or, check back at this web site!
